Role Overview
As an SDE 1 – C++ Developer, you will be part of a highly skilled engineering team responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining high-performance trading systems. You will work on real-time infrastructure and gain hands-on experience in latency-sensitive environments, contributing to mission-critical systems from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of proprietary trading software.
- Work on real-time trade execution systems, risk management tools, and market data handlers.
- Assist in building modules such as:
- Trading simulation software for distributed computation
- Exchange connectivity and FIX protocol-based integrations
- High-volume data storage and visualization systems - Collaborate with senior developers, quantitative researchers, and traders in cross-functional teams.
- Support performance tuning and latency reduction efforts across the OS, networking stack, and CPU architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from a premier institute.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and familiarity with Python, preferably in a UNIX/Linux environment.
- Solid understanding of:
- Data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming (OOP) Standard Template Library (STL), multithreading, and TCP/IP networking
- FIX protocol, real-time systems, or GUI programming - Ability to learn quickly and apply innovative solutions to technical problems.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle.
